We're just about set for major number three on the golf calendar in 2013 - the British Open - which begins next Thursday at Muirfield in Gullane, Scotland.

4 Deep Golf Blog's Joel Harrington talks about the tournament, the course, and who he expects to be hoisting the Claret Jug next week:

The tune-up event on the PGA Tour this week is the John Deere Classic in Illinois, where former Masters champ Zach Johnson won in a dramatic playoff last year. Most of the big names won't be there, but Joel still believes it will be an entertaining event:

This is also a big week on the South Dakota golf calendar with the men's and women's Match Play Championships at Brookings Country Club.  A pair of Sioux Falls golfers will be defending their titles, Max Donohue for the men, Shannon Johnson for the women.
