Former Denver Broncos General Manager joined Jeff Thurn on Friday's edition of Overtime.

Hear Thurn and Sundquist talk about the upcoming NFL season right here:

Have the Denver Broncos done enough to improve their defense?

"Well they think they have. In my opinion, I think they have tried to get tougher. That was one of the things they felt like they didn't have last year. Individual spots they matched up well, one-on-one. They were able to put some pressure on people certainly with Von Miller and Shaun Phillips came in as a free agent last year and that helped them early when Von was out with his own suspension. But overall John Fox and Jack Del Rio wanted to get tougher. So they went out and got T.J. Ward at safety from Cleveland. They added a guy like DeMarcus Ware. They bring in Aqib Talib. They feel like with those three veterans and the presence they bring not only with their play defensively, but in the manner in which they do it, that they have gotten tougher. Now the question becomes has the offense gotten tougher in my personal opinion? You ask me about defense and in my estimation, the offense is very much predicated on rhythm, timing, movement, and keeping the ball going. Are they to a point where they can just line up and blow people off the ball and play tough, hard-nosed running game football. I don't know. But they certainly feel at Dove Valley, that the additions helped that defense."
