SEMIFINALS
PINE RIDGE 63, WEST CENTRAL 53
WATERTOWN, SD -- Pine Ridge built a 13-point halftime lead before defeating West Central 63-53 on Friday, advancing to the championship game in the South Dakota girls Class A tournament.

Third-seeded Pine Ridge (22-1) had three players in double figures, paced by Jolonna Sazue with 15 points. Shaylene Richard added 14 points and Santana White Dress posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Lady Thorpes shot 30 percent from the field while limiting the Trojans to 26 percent. Pine Ridge out-rebounded West Central 47-38.

Hunter Mathieu posted a game-high 18 points to lead seventh-seeded West Central (19-6). Madison Kuehl added 12 points and McKenzie Stone finished with 11.

HARRISBURG 47, ABERDEEN RONCALLI 37
WATERTOWN, SD -- Harrisburg scored more than half of its points in the fourth quarter Friday to post a 47-37 come-from-behind win over Aberdeen Roncalli in the semifinals of the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament.

The Tigers trailed 21-9 at halftime and 27-23 after three quarters. They outscored Roncalli 24-10 in the final eight minutes to reach the title game in their first state appearance.

Hailey Halling had 21 points to lead Harrisburg (24-1) in scoring. She made seven of 20 shots from the field and went 7-for-10 from the line. The Tigers shot just 27 percent.

Mollee Karst paced Roncalli (19-4) with 16 points and 15 rebounds. She was 5-for-8 from the field and drained five of seven free throws.

CONSOLATION SEMIFINALS
SPEARISH 52, CHAMBERLAIN 39
WATERTOWN, SD -- Spearfish rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Chamberlain 52-39 in a consolation game at the South Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament on Friday.

The Spartans (18-5) outscored Chamberlain 29-14 in the second half.

Bethany Crosswait was 4-for-12 from the field and made all five of her free throw attempts to lead Spearfish in scoring with 14 points. Kaitlin Spargur had 12 points.

The Spartans made 16 of 21 free throw attempts.

Chamberlain led 25-23 at the break, but struggled offensively most of the game. The Cubs shot just 31 percent from the field and 53 percent from the line.

Jaymee Knippling led Chamberlain (21-3) with nine points.
