UPDATE: CJ Stroud Is OUT Against The Buffalo Bills On Thursday
The Buffalo Bills have struggled with injuries all season long. Just about the time we see one player come back off the injured list, another big name shows up there. But they're far from the only NFL team with that same problem.
The Houston Texans have a lengthy injury report heading into week 12
Injury reports will be accelerated for both the Bills and the Texans this week, as they will both be squaring off at NRG Stadium on Thursday night. The earlier the game, the earlier teams will have to declare which players will be in and which ones will be out.
The Texans released their first injury list of the week yesterday, and there were quite a few names on it.
CJ Stroud was still a non-participant to start the week
One of the biggest names on that list is Houston's starting quarterback, CJ Stroud. He's missed the last two weeks' games with a concussion and didn't practice again on Monday. That's normally not a good sign when players are in concussion protocol and today, they made it official. CJ Stroud will miss his third straight week in a row with a concussion.
The Bills' injury list is pretty long, too
Once again, the Bills aren't immune to injuries either. Their list of injured players continues to get longer every week. At their walkthrough practice on Monday, there were 16 names listed. Now, those are all players who have gotten treatment for injuries. However, 10 players were limited, and 5 did not practice at all. Both Dalton Kincaid and Phidarian Mathis were non-participants last week and ended up missing last weekend's game. Wide receivers Mecole Hardman Jr., Khalil Shakir, and Curtis Samuel were the other three who were added to the "did not practice" list. The final person on the list was linebacker Shaq Thompson who is making his way back from a hamstring injury, but he was a full particpant.
Both teams will have to declare their inactives by 6:45pm on Thursday at the latest.
