During his press conference today, coach Sean McDermott got fired up while talking about how the country talks about Buffalo.

It's not often that someone who isn't originally from the Western New York area comes to the defense of Buffalo. Today, not only did Sean McDermott come to our defense, but he got pissed off that people ever negatively talk about Buffalo.

McDermott isn't even originally from here

Sean McDermott isn't even from here. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived most of his childhood in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He went to college in Virginia. But you'd never know it by the way he talks.

McDermott came to Buffalo in 2017 to lead the Bills. This was shortly after the debacle that was Rex Ryan. Bills fans had been sold hope for 17 years only to be disappointed year after year. But things were about to change for them.

What's the narrative on Buffalo?

You've seen it when you watch national broadcasts. You've probably heard it on TV shows and movies anytime they mention Buffalo.

Buffalo is a city of losers.

That's what they want you to believe, right? All that you'll find there is snow and ice. It's a place where only certain people go because they can't make it anywhere else. They live in Buffalo with all the snow and the cold because they're losers.

But don't say that to Sean McDermott.

McDermott got emotional while talking about it with reporters

While talking about the narrative about Buffalo at a press conference, McDermott got visibly flustered. He admitted that the way Buffalo is portrayed "pisses him off."

He mentioned that no other team has ever gone to 4 Super Bowls in a row. It's never happened, and according to him, it will never happen. That's when someone in the comments pointed out that the Chiefs are just coming off their third in a row. If anyone is going to stop them from making it four in a row, it might have to be the Bills.

The season starts this Sunday for the Bills with a home game against the Ravens at 8pm from Highmark Stadium. We'll see if the narrative can be changed this year.
