Trail cams are placed all over Minnesota for a variety of reason, one of them is research, and one organization claims it just captured what they call the "best video" they've ever captured of this elusive big cat.

The Voyageurs Wolf Project has captured and shared a number of incredible trail cam videos in the past, but this has to be one of my favorites, and they say it's also one of their best videos of a Lynx they've ever captured.

The Lynx was also nice enough to pose pretty in front of the camera, the lynx is seen in the incredible footage walking out of the woods and having a seat in front of the camera for about 20 seconds before walking off.

The Canada Lynx is considered to be a rare animal in Minnesota, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, there were 97 verified lynx sighting in Minnesota between 2007-2002, the majority of them in the upper northeast corner of the state in the Chippewa National Forest.

The lynx was once hunted and trapped in Minnesota, but due to declining numbers, Minnesota stopped that practice in 1984, in 2000, the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service classified the lynx as a federally threatened species.

Lynx are only found where their main source of food, the snowshoe hare, is found, while they do feast on the occasional bird or small mammal and maybe some roadkill from time to time, you generally won't find lynx without the snowshoe rabbit in its territory as well.

UFO Sightings Reported in Minnesota in 2023

A total of 45 sightings have been reported via the National UFO Reporting Center across the state of Minnesota in 2023, including Duluth, Minneapolis, St. Cloud, Rochester, Bemidji, Two Harbors, and elsewhere around the state. Here is a rundown of each sighting.
