Attention Brides: Sioux Falls Wedding Venues In Short Supply
Sioux Falls brides already face enough challenges when planning a wedding, but some are having a huge issue finding a venue for the big day.
Summer is usually the busiest time of year for Sioux Falls weddings. Slowly this trend is changing in the Sioux Empire as Sioux Falls continues to grow. It's getting harder for South Dakota brides to find venues for their perfect day.

Our friends at Dakota News Now are reporting wedding season is expanding and venues in Sioux Falls are getting busier beyond weddings. Events are happening each weekend in Sioux Falls, so couples are getting creative with dates and even venues.
Experience Sioux Falls CEO Teri Schmidt tells Dakota News Now couples are searching for wedding venues all the time no matter the season or the day of the week.
“From parks to attractions to then, the more traditional spaces like churches and even the Convention Center and other facilities that are not churches. Very much has changed as to where do people want to get married. Anything goes anymore. People love Sioux Falls for a wedding venue and a location. It’s easy to get to, has all the amenities. We have the spaces.”
In Sioux Falls, couples get married on Saturdays and Sundays. Since more events are in Sioux Falls, don't be surprised to have a wedding on a Friday or even a Thursday.
If you're a new bride in Sioux Falls, Teri Schmidt's biggest advice to you is to start looking for your wedding venue now and book it a year in advance. More Sioux Falls wedding advice and tips can be found here.
As someone who just got married herself, I completely understand the stress and excitement new brides are feeling. I totally agree with Teri's advice. Book your wedding venue right away and tour your top picks. Everything else after that is a piece of cake.
