Small Town South Dakota Zoo Welcomes New Red Panda Brothers
A South Dakota zoo is welcoming new members to the community for the first time ever. Say hello to red pandas Piercy and Lino!
Piercy and Lino are brothers and they are the first red pandas to live at the Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, South Dakota.

As part of a conservation effort known as the Species Survival Plan, Piercy and Lino are from the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
These adorable red pandas are 5-years-old and are "full of personality." You wouldn't think red pandas like Piercy and Lino would thrive in an environment like South Dakota. But these guys love the cold weather!
Red pandas thrive in cold climates, making Watertown a perfect home for them. Right now, they’re settling in with a 30-day quarantine to ensure their health and comfort. But don’t worry—we’ll keep you updated on their progress and when you can see them in person!
This is so exciting for the staff at Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown, South Dakota. They needed some good news after the heartbreaking announcement that their beloved wolf named Titan passed away earlier last week.
Titan was 12-years-old and was "an icon" to many who loved to visit him at the Bramble Park Zoo. He received amazing care while at Bramble Park Zoo, which is why Titan lived beyond the average life expectancy.
His leadership and playful spirit left a lasting impact on all who met him. Titan’s favorite activity was shredding boxes (especially the ones with bones inside!), and he’ll be deeply missed by our staff and visitors alike.
Titan's memory will live on at the Bramble Park Zoo through new projects, especially an improved habitat for future wolves.
The newest residents at Bramble Park Zoo can't wait to meet you soon!
