Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken and a Sioux Falls teenager are getting a major feature on a popular national morning show.

Some Sioux Falls residents might have noticed some graffiti in the area. Normally, that would be cause for concern or punishment. But instead, Mayor TenHaken is taking a compassionate approach to this situation. This is why his kindness is being featured on a segment called Beg-Knows America on CBS Mornings.

17-year-old Sioux Falls resident Jaden Brunz technically broke the law with his graffiti artwork. But Mayor TenHaken wasn't upset with this vandalism. As an artist himself, he was impressed with this young man's talents.

This crime was being investigated by the loyal men and women of the City of Sioux Falls Police force, until Mayor TenHaken decided to call Jaden into his office for a little chat. Sounds like a huge call from the principal's office...except you're in City Hall!

In a short clip posted by Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken on his Facebook page, he teases his and Jaden's story on an upcoming feature of Beg-Knows America on CBS Mornings. It's all about second chances and learning from mistakes while discovering new forms of art in our area.

What a great story that will feature South Dakota's biggest city! I can't wait to learn more about Jaden and Mayor TenHaken's love for art and his masterpieces.

Beg-Knows America on CBS Mornings will feature Mayor TenHaken and Jaden at a later date soon. Due to the unprecedented news that broke over the weekend, this story was bumped from Monday morning's programming.

Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives in Sioux Falls

In June of 2020, Guy Fieri and his crew from Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives came to Sioux Falls and made quite a stir.

In case you've never been lured into an hours-long binge of the show on Food Network, Guy Fieri visits places off the beaten path and tries out their signature dishes and visits with locals.

13 Times Sioux Falls Made it into a 'Jeopardy!' Question

If the world was divided into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune people, I would be down for Jeopardy! all the way. It's a lot more fun, it makes me feel smart because I can retain lots of trivia, and I am a horrible speller. So Wheel is out, no whammies.

Recently I discovered (I mean wasted a lot of time on) a website that is an archive of clues that have been on Jeopardy!.

While digging around the archive, I wanted to find out how often Sioux Falls came up in a question (Answer) on the show. Since 1990 Sioux Falls has been part of a question or an answer 13 times.
