Almost three years ago Watecha Bowl was born during a pandemic and owner Lawrence West began introducing and serving delicious Native American Cuisine to the Sioux Empire- -from his food truck.

The popularity of the traditional Indian fry bread and tacos, Frybread cheese curds, frybread fingers, bowls, burgers, and more, led West to open a storefront at 2305 W Madison Street.

According to a Dakota News Now story from August 2020 - -West's goal from the beginning was - -

“Closing the education gap between the Native American people and other races, religions, whatever in our community that have been established is my main focus.”

He has done that and more --but now Watecha Bowl has announced on their Facebook page that they will be closing their express location on February 1st of 2023 and going back on the road with the food truck "for health and healing".

So get your Watecha Bowl fix while you can now and keep watching their Facebook page to follow the food truck.
