After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the LifeScape Center for the Arts and Dakota Players are thrilled to announce the return of Camp Bravo!

This performing arts camp for kids of all abilities provides young performers with a chance to create a full-scale stage performance, learn from theatre professionals, participate in breakout sessions, and have fun with games, crafts, and dancing.

There will even be a runway show to showcase the costumes.

LifeScape Center for the Arts Director, Jamie Richardson, expressed excitement at the prospect of bringing children of all abilities together once again, saying "Camp Bravo has been such a meaningful experience in the lives of so many over the years, whether they had a disability or not! We could not wait to bring camp back to these young performers and give an experience that everyone can have fun with!"

Camp Bravo will culminate with a performance of "Space School Musical," an upbeat show featuring great music and exciting characters.

The camp will take place at Augustana University's Edith Mortensen Theater from June 4th - 9th. Registration is currently open, and the camp is designed for children aged 8 - 21. To ensure a high level of care, the camper-to-counselor ratio will be 1 to 2, and registration is limited. The cost of registration is $400.

The return of Camp Bravo is a testament to the resilience of the arts community in the face of unprecedented challenges. Young performers will once again have the opportunity to learn, grow, and express themselves through the magic of theatre.

Space is limited so make sure you get your child registered here soon.
