‘Festival of Trees’ Happening this Weekend in Sioux Falls
Need a little nudge to help get you in the Christmas spirit?
This is the weekend for it here in the Sioux Empire, the annual Festival of Trees is happening today and Saturday at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls.
The event will showcase over 40 decorated Christmas trees and wreaths donated by area businesses that will be on display both days.
Festival of Trees is open to the public, people can stop out view all the various Christmas greenery, vote for their favorite tree or wreath, and purchase one from the online auction.
It's the perfect winter wonderland event that is great for the entire family. Your kiddos can also get Santa pictures and the end for only $5.00.
As Dakota News Now reports, the event is put on as a fundraiser to help benefit Casa Angelina, an orphanage in Guatemala. The proceeds go towards their continued building efforts!
In addition to the Festival of Trees, the Sioux Empire Arts and Crafts Show is also happening. Very talented artists and crafters from all over the Midwest will be on hand today and Saturday displaying the handcrafted and homemade items like pottery, jewelry, housewares, holiday decor, and more they've made for the Christmas season.
The Festival of Trees has been running for 18 years and is always one of the best holiday shopping experiences of the season.
The entire thing happens Friday (November 10) and Saturday (November 11) inside the 100,000-square-foot Expo Building on the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
The hours are Friday from Noon to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
