Good Earth has built up quite a reputation here in the Sioux Empire over the past ten years as a great place for picnicking, hiking, fishing, kids' summer camps, wildlife watching, school field trips, and outdoor entertainment.

And if it is live outdoor entertainment you're craving this summer the folks at Good Earth will be serving up a series of free concerts every Sunday starting at 4 PM throughout a great majority of the summer months.

The first concert was actually last weekend, and the series will continue through July 30th.

Park Naturalist, Jen Stahl told Dakota News Now, the entire concert series is free to attend, but, you will need a South Dakota State Park sticker to get in each week.

You can expect to hear different genres of music every weekend too. They'll be a little bit of country, some oldies, rock & roll, you name it, from a variety of performers throughout the series.

According to Jen, come hungry, because they'll be a different food truck on hand in the park every Sunday.

Good Earth is close to Sioux Falls...

If you've never been to Good Earth State Park before it's easy to find. It's actually located on the southeast side of Sioux Falls, just north of Lake Alvin, almost to Harrisburg, right along the border of Iowa.

There is no camping available, but pets are welcome at Good Earth State Park. So it's a great place to bring your dog for a daytime hike on Sundays, and then stick around for a free show to wrap up the day.

You can see a complete list of every artist scheduled to perform on the Good Earth Facebook page, and on the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks website.
