You may have heard conversations about the continuing evolution of downtown Sioux Falls. Like the expansion of Falls Park West with an ice skating ribbon and accessible playground.

Now, according to Pigeon 605, not only will it include those items, but with "a total of $8 million in private donations, it also will be built with a large dog park and splash pad".

And all the work on the expansion should be finished in less than two years!

The dog park funded by Lloyd Companies, will be larger than the existing Kirby Dog Park and will be called Pawsible Park (as a tribute to the "pawsibilities" in Sioux Falls).

The splash pad "is being funded with help from T. Denny Sanford, who will donate up to $1.75 million".

Mayor Paul TenHaken indicated that the consultants who were brought in on the project were greatly impressed with the vision and the plans and said, "This will be a year-round activated space".
