It's the day after Thanksgiving. The turkey and side dishes are stacked in the fridge, you may be working on the Christmas tree and your relatives are growing restless and driving you crazy.

This is the time to get everyone out of the house and into Downtown Sioux Falls for the awesome 32nd Annual Parade of Lights on Friday, November 29! Make sure you dress warmly and perhaps bring some hot cocoa with you because this holiday tradition can sometimes be pretty chilly.

You'll find plenty of parking in downtown Sioux Falls on the side streets and also in the parking ramps with over 2,300 spaces but be prepared to walk to get up close to the parade.

Streets in the staging area will close at 5:15 and Phillips Avenue will close at 6:45. Downtown Sioux Falls will provide accessible or designated parking for people with special needs. You will need to call 605-338-4009 at least 48 hours prior to the parade.

The parade begins at 7:30 at 13th Street and Phillips Avenue and travels north on Phillips to 5th Street. They've reached participant capacity this year, so there will be a whole lot of floats with sparkling lights and festive decorations to see.

After the parade, you'll have a chance to find a warm spot for a snack or a sip of something warm at one of the many great eateries or breweries downtown.

For more information see Downtown Sioux Falls, or call 605-338-4009.
