Join The Spirit Of Giving During The ‘Hope For The Holidays Toy Drive’

As Christmas draws near, joy and excitement start to fill the air, but for some families, the season also brings its share of stress. Here in Sioux Falls, the community is already beginning to shine with generosity. Holiday food drives, clothing collections, and toy donations are appearing all over town, and we’re getting ready to launch one of the biggest and most meaningful efforts of them all.

Here at Results-Townsquare Media Sioux Falls, we’re proud to host our annual Toy Drive in partnership with the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety (formerly the Children's Inn).

If you’re not familiar with the Shelter for Family Safety, they truly are a beacon of hope in our community. They provide safe shelter, a crisis hotline, counseling, advocacy, meals, transportation, and so much more to individuals and families escaping domestic abuse. They also offer temporary emergency shelter for children who have been abused or neglected. Their work changes lives, especially during a time of year when hope matters most.

For many of these families, the holidays can be especially heartbreaking. Too often, victims must flee dangerous situations in the middle of the night, taking nothing with them but courage and the clothes on their backs.

And that’s why our “Hope For the Holidays Toy Drive” matters so much.

From November 28th through December 24th, we invite you to drop off a new, unwrapped toy in the big sleigh at the Gift Wrap Booth in the Macy’s Wing of The Empire Mall.

Every single toy collected will go directly to children served by the Shelter for Family Safety, kids who deserve to feel the magic of Christmas just as much as anyone else. And trust us… Seeing a child’s face light up on Christmas morning makes every donation so worthwhile.

Let’s come together to make the 2025 Hope For the Holidays Toy Drive the biggest and brightest one yet!

And while you’re at The Empire Mall, don’t forget to have your own gifts wrapped by the talented “elves” at the Shelter’s Gift Wrap Booth, located in the Macy’s Wing. Not only will your presents look fabulous, but 100% of the donations raised go directly to supporting the children and families staying at the shelter during the holidays.

Infants and under 1-year-old

• Car seat toys
• Shape sorter puzzles
• Crinkle cloth books

• Light-up learning toys

Children aged 2 – 11 years old

• Dolls
• Trucks/cars
• Movie/character toys such as Frozen, Bluey, Superheroes, etc.
• Magna-tiles and magnetic cubes
• Legos
• Rubber band bracelet sets/kits
• Teens 12+
• Hoodies (Large and XLarge)
• Owala or Stanley water bottles
• Earbuds
• Mini speakers
• Eyeshadow pallets
• Sharpie or gel pen sets
• Art kits and sketchbooks
