The commute for drivers heading in and out of the northeast side of Sioux Falls is about to encounter a major disruption.

What's Happening

Starting Monday (September 22), Rice Street will be closed between Cleveland Avenue and Veterans Parkway to allow crews to mill and overlay the roadway.

Detour in Place

Through traffic between Sioux Falls and Brandon should utilize the project detour to 60th Street North via Veterans Parkway and Cliff Avenue. One lane of traffic will be maintained for access to local businesses.

Project Timeline

The work is expected to be completed in three weeks.
