Snow Days Extend School Year in Sioux Falls
Our recent abundance of winter weather is extending the school year in Sioux Falls.
The school board voted Tuesday (April 11) to add a pair of dates to the 2022-23 Sioux Falls School District calendar.
The last day for students will now be Friday, May 26.

The final day of classes was originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 24. School district staff will report through June 2.
In all, students in Sioux Falls missed five days this school year because of inclement weather.
