Proctor is one of 13 semifinalists for the award, announced on Tuesday by the University of Alabama. Proctor, an intimidating 6-foot-7, 360-pound junior from Des Moines, Iowa, has started all eight games for Alabama so far this season, helping the Crimson Tide achieve a 7-1 overall record and a 5-0 record in SEC play.

Proctor's presence along the offensive line has helped Alabama average 410.5 yards per game (8th in the SEC) and 34.4 points per game offensively (7th in the SEC). He's allowed just one sack on the season in 333 pass blocking snaps, and has not allowed a sack since Alabama's season-opening loss to Florida State. Proctor has also carried the ball four times this season, accumulating 15 yards and three first downs as a ball carrier.

Alabama has had three players win the Lombardi Award in program history: Cornelius Bennett won the award in 1986, Jonathan Allen won it in 2016, and Will Anderson Jr. won it in 2022.

Alabama's next game will come this Saturday, November 8, when the Crimson Tide takes on the LSU Tigers.
