Congratulations to Zack Lucas for his big win! Last Thursday (August 15th), the 8-year-old Iowan was named a champion in one of the Iowa State Fair's annual pie-eating contests!

Last week, KCCI posted a hilarious video of Zack Lucas after his big win at the Iowa State Fair, and the video has since gone viral. As of this morning (August 19th), the original Facebook video has over 1,100 shares, 500 comments, and 5,600 likes! Once you see it, you'll understand why...

Zack has continued to garner attention for his adorable interview, and was even invited to a local bakery to pick out some free pies! According to KCCIHome Slice Handmade Pies in Bondurant welcomed Zack on Saturday, where he tried out some mini pies, including Oreo, lemonade, French silk, and peach blueberry raspberry. The site reports that Zack "is soaking up the attention from his interview and enjoys reading people comments about him on social media. The viral response to the blue ribbon win has been a source of pride for the family." Zack has his blue ribbon on display in his room at home.

The 2024 Iowa State Fair has officially come to an end, but Zack's video will live on forever! He plans to return in 2025 to defend his title.
