The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed backup running back Matt Asiata.

The Detroit Lions are playing some dominant defense. With Ezekiel Ansah and Ndamukong Suh leading a relentless rush, the Lions had eight sacks and three interceptions of Minnesota rookie Teddy Bridgewater in a 17-3 victory over the Vikings on Sunday.

Bridgewater didn't finish what he started, but he was good enough that his departure didn't matter. The rookie passed for 317 yards and a key 2-point conversion, and the Vikings rode a resurgent running game to beat the Atlanta Falcons 41-28 on Sunday.
