Wednesday was Big Ten Media Day in Chicago, and Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini touched on a number of topics during his time at the podium.
Among the issues:
What his team needs to work on
His thoughts on the Nebraska offense (including QB Taylor Martinez) and defense
The status of linebacker Thomas Brown, who has been dismissed from the team
Rutgers joining the Big Ten
The NCAA's new 'targetting'
Even after his defense gave up 653 yards to UCLA and 498 yards and 63 points to Ohio State, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini didn't waver in his belief that things would get better.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini joked about the priority listed atop his game plan for Minnesota. He said he doesn't want his team to be two touchdowns behind at halftime.
David Santos wanted to pass on redshirting his first season at Nebraska and play right away. His coaches, intrigued by his speed and tenacity, were tempted to relent and put him on the field. The patience paid off.
