The Winnipeg Goldeyes scored three runs in the bottom half of the ninth inning to walk off with a 6-5 victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries on Friday night.

The Sioux Falls Canaries dropped an 8-1 matinee to the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Thursday afternoon, losing the rubber game of a three-game series at Shaw Park.

One swing provided all of the Sioux Falls Canaries offense on Wednesday night, and it turned out to be plenty. J.P. Ramirez belted a grand slam in the second inning, propelling the Birds to a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Shaw Park.

The Sioux Falls Canaries took a lead into the late innings against the Winnipeg Goldeyes on Tuesday night, but they could not hold on in a 6-4 loss. The Birds drop the opener of the three-game series at Shaw Park.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes piled up eight runs in the first inning Thursday night and went on to beat the Sioux Falls Canaries 12-1 to split a four-game series at Sioux Falls Stadium.

The Sioux Falls Pheasants inked utility player Jake Taylor to a contract for 2013 on Monday while trading pitcher Pete Gehle to the Winnipeg Goldeyes in exchange for future considerations. They also released infielder Joe Anthonsen.

Jack Van Leur became his own player to be named later Tuesday when the Winnipeg Goldeyes sent the Brandon native back to the Sioux Fall Pheasants to complete a late-season trade between the two clubs.
