That's what the trolls online want you to think.

A pair of social media posts claim that Governor Kristi Noem has banned the sale of sliced watermelon in South Dakota to show support for Israel in the ongoing Gaza conflict.

According to PBS Newshour, watermelon has become a symbol of solidarity with Palestinians for its colors that match the flag and its hardy seeds.

The sleuths at Reuters, using Google Street View, pinpointed the location Stortorget Square in Malmo, Sweden - 4,455 miles from Sioux Falls.

Not surprisingly, Governor Noem's spokesperson, Ian Fury, says there is 'no truth' to the watermelon information being shared on social media.
