The elder statesmen of the PGA Tour are back in Sioux Falls this week for the second Sanford International at Minnehaha Country Club with some of the biggest names from the Champions Tour in the field.

In this edition of 'Off The Tee', Joel Harrington from 4 Deep Golf blog and I discuss this tournament which is back after what Joel says was a very successful inaugural event in 2018:

The field is stacked with the likes of fan favorites like John Daly and big names like Vijay Singh and Davis Love III. It also features four of the top money winners on tour this season - Scott McCarron, Jerry Kelly, David Toms, and Bernard Langer.

The only top five player missing is defending champ, Steve Stricker. Joel says Stricker has a good reason for missing the Sioux Falls stop this year:

After such a successful start to this tournament last year, not much has changed in the course setup at Minnehaha Country Club, although Joel says there have been some upgrades in the patron experience in 2019:

The only glitch this year might be some wet weather moving through the area Friday night and into part of the day on Saturday. Regardless, Joel says having this event in Sioux Falls is truly something special:

The three-round event tees off at 10:20 AM Friday (September 20).
