All good things must come to an end. After over a month of speculation, the dreaded news that Vikings fans worldwide had feared has become a reality.

Walker Duehr made some very notable history last night in Calgary's game against the Blues.

It's always great when a professional sports franchise can sign someone from their own state much less region. On Friday, the Vikings did just that, signing what is now their second former Minnesota State player to a contract.

Todd Hoffner's decision to return to Mankato was a personal decision made for his family. While it caused a bunch of scrambling, it was the best decision in his eyes.
