Minnesota and Detroit are outside of the standard 12:00 and 3:25 game windows. That has led to some teams we typically don't see on TV being shown here.

The Minnesota Vikings will be in London this Sunday taking on the Cleveland Browns. That game will be shown nationwide on NFL Network, and yes you will need NFL Network to watch it. The game will not be broadcasted on local FOX/CBS TV.

Because of that, however, the window for FOX and CBS is wide open on the NFL schedule. The Packers are on a bye, while the Lions are on Sunday Night Football. Chicago fans will see their team in action, otherwise all the other teams on TV this weekend are one's we typically don't see.

FOX has the doubleheader this week and the 12:00 game will be Chicago vs. New Orleans. That Bears/Saints game is the lead game for FOX in that window and is distributed across a majority of the country. The late FOX game will be Dallas vs. Washington and that game will be shown across the nation.

CBS has a mix of a schedule for their single game. Sioux Falls will follow a good chunk of the country west of the Mississippi River and show Raiders/Bills at 12:00.

If you’re ever curious about which games will be shown in the area, there are a couple of places you can find listings. First, my personal favorite, NFL distribution maps are put out by the staff at 506Sports. KTTW and KELO-TV also both list the scheduled games on their respective webpages. As a reminder, all games are subject to change (but rarely do).

Here are the games that will be shown in Sioux Falls for the NFL Week 8:

  • Thursday Night, 7:25: Miami @ Baltimore (CBS/NFL Network)
  • Sunday, 8:30: Minnesota @ Cleveland (NFL Network)
  • Sunday, 12:00: Oakland @ Buffalo (CBS)
  • Sunday, 12:00: Chicago @ New Orleans (FOX)
  • Sunday, 3:25: Dallas @ Washington (FOX)
  • Sunday, 7:30: Pittsburgh @ Detroit (NBC)
  • Monday, 7:30: Denver @ Kansas City (ESPN)
