Nebraska Volleyball has not only brought a lot of attention to the sport nationally lately, but they're redefining its spot in the sports hierarchy as well.
In Thursday's semifinals, the No. 1 overall seed Cornhuskers swept the Pitt Panthers, also a No. 1 seed, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17 before a crowd of 19,598 at Amalie Arena.
On what was dubbed "Volleyball Day in Nebraska," the match was the culmination of months of planning for a program and state that have long led the way in enthusiasm for the sport.
