Sioux Falls police have arrested seven men in what they call a reverse prostitution sting.

Public Information Officer Sam Clemens of the Sioux Falls Police Department says the men responded to fictitious ads posted on internet sites and made propositions to buy sex for money from female detectives who were working undercover at a local hotel.

Five of the suspects are from Sioux Falls. A Brookings man and a man from Beardsley, Minn., also were arrested. The suspects range in age from 23 to 64.

Clemens says Larry Merle Marshall, 64, and Miguel Angel Santiago-Montes, 26, of Sioux Falls, Joshua James Barber, 38, of Brookings and Jeffrey Douglas Wolff, 53, of Beardsley, Minnesota were all arrested on two counts of hiring for sexual activity. Those arrested on one count of the same offense were Robert Albert Corsini Junior, 52, Joseph Lewis Panaia Junior, 45, and Jesse Lynn Raley, 23, all of Sioux Falls.

Clemens says the arrests show such activity will not be tolerated in the city.
