Explosive Allegation Made Against Buffalo Bills and Sabres Owner

On Tuesday serious allegations were made against both Buffalo Bills and Sabres owner Terry Pegula, as well as Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Jim Trotter, a former NFL reporter and current national columnist for The Athletic, is suing the NFL and NFL Network over racial discrimination according to a complaint filed on Tuesday.

The New York Times reports that the 53-page complaint filed in federal court says that he (Trotter) was let go in retaliation after his public challenge to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The transcript of the complaint points to two alleged quotes made by Bills and Sabres owner Terry Pegula and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

The Bills and Sabres both released statements from Pegula on Tuesday afternoon that say the statement from Trotter is "absolutely false," and that he's, "horrified that anyone would connect me to an allegation of this kind."

The complaint says:

“Mr. Trotter raised his concerns on numerous occasions about the N.F.L.’s record on racial diversity and discrimination, but the N.F.L. did nothing to legitimately investigate or address his concerns — even though offensive conduct was being committed by people at the very top of the N.F.L. hierarchy."

The Cowboys have yet to release a statement regarding the alleged statement made by Jerry Jones.
