Pizza Hut is going "Back in Time" as Huey Lewis & the News would say.

The iconic pizza chain just announced it’s bringing back the full-on 80s and 90s dine-in experience at select locations across the country. We’re talking peak nostalgia: Tiffany-style hanging lamps, red-and-white checkered tablecloths, those unmistakable vinyl booths, and yes, even the legendary red roof design that practically screams 1985!

According to Dakota News Now, about 155 Pizza Hut locations across 29 states are getting the retro makeover. And here’s the part Sioux Falls pizza fans will care about—South Dakota did make the list, just not in our immediate neighborhood.

If you’re looking to relive the glory days of being able to have a personal pan pizza that somehow tasted better when served in a dimly lit booth, you’ll need to point the car north. The only South Dakota location currently getting the throwback treatment is in Milbank, on East Milbank Avenue.

Yeah, not exactly a quick lunch run from Sioux Falls unless you’ve got a 4-hour lunch and a full tank of gas.

If you’re up for a shorter road trip, there are a handful of nearby options across state lines. Iowa is getting several retro locations in towns like Sioux Center, Sibley, Storm Lake, and Cherokee. Minnesota’s in on it, too, with spots in places like Blue Earth, Litchfield, Hastings, and Bemidji, and others that all plan on bringing back the old-school vibe.

Because if Pizza Hut truly wants to win back the hearts of all the Pan Pizza lovers in the Sioux Empire, they’ll bring back the lunch buffet, the salad bar, and all those sweaty red plastic cups.

Now that's the Pizza Hut I remember!
