It wasn't that long ago that rock fans never thought they'd get a chance to see Motley Crue perform live again.

After all, they did have that infamous press conference in January 2014 when they announced their intentions to hang it up for good after one final tour. They even went as far as signing contracts that supposedly forbade them from playing live again after the conclusion of that tour, December 31, 2015.

That lasted all of seven years.

Now, you'll have two chances to see the legendary rockers in our area this summer.

The most recent date added to their 2024 tour is a stop at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa Wednesday, August 14.

Tickets range from $60 to $125 (plus taxes and fees) and go on sale Friday (February 9) at 10:00 AM.

You can also catch Motley Crue at the North Dakota State Fair in Minoton Friday, July 19. Tickets for that show go on sale March 1

Motley Crue got their start in Los Angeles in 1981.

They have released nine studio albums over the years, selling more than 100 million copies. One of those albums, Dr. Feelgood, topped the U.S. chart for two weeks in October 1989.

The current version of the band features original members Vince Neil (vocals), Nikki Sixx (bass), and Tommy Lee (drums). Original guitarist Mick Mars was replaced by John 5 in 2022.
