The football season has arrived! a ton of new faces in new places with many traded players and incoming rookies have found their homes for the 2025 NFL season. Lets break down the biggest games for week one and the impact players sure to make a splash!

Cowboys at Eagles: Thursday (Sept. 4) - 7:20 p.m. est.

Jalen Hurts (Eagles) - Super bowl MVP and Champion. Coming off his best season yet, Hurts and the Eagles look to get off to a hot start against a divisional rival. The Cowboys defense is not what it has been in recent years due, in most part to the departure or star player Micah Parsons who is now with the Packers. He should be able to take advantage and make more star power plays.

DeVonta Smith (Eagles) - coming off a great season as well, Smitty looks to capitalize with his college teammate to make a splash in week one. Be on the lookout for him to be the chain mover while AJ Brown will likely be the main deep threat seeing double coverage. Don't be surprised if he makes a touchdown and some amazing sideline catches.

Panthers at Jaguars: Sunday (Sept. 7) - Noon est.

Bryce Young (Panthers) - A qb battle here between Young and Lawrence. Young looks to start this season in the same fashion he ended last years. With a new weapon in highly touted Arizona rookie receiver Tetairoa McMillan, and second year receiver Legette, his weapons are there. He can clearly make the plays and now has the weapons to make an even bigger impact. Getting him going early will be key for this offense.

Lions at Packers: Sunday (Sept. 7) - 3:25 p.m. est.

Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) - Gone within the first five picks of most fantasy drafts, Gibbs looks to keep his production high as one of the most dynamic backs in the league. Coming off a great season himself, this Lions offense will look to continue utilizing him in both the passing and run game. Definitely RB1 material for fantasy purposes and in general with his high efficiency and playmaking abilities. Watch him make a splash in week one, but this is a tough Green Bay defense so it might take more effort.

Jameson Williams (Lions) - Coming off his best season with the Lions, Williams looks to add to his production as the Lions look to make him a more focal point of their offense. With St. Brown getting most of the attention, Williams should have plenty of downfield opportunities with Goff's arm leading him into end-zone production.

Josh Jacobs (Packers) - Another great running back from RBU. Jacobs had an impressive season with the Packers last year and looks to keep that going in an offense that prides itself on running the ball well. He is a goal line touchdown machine so look to see him make those short yardage plays for first downs and touchdowns.

Notable players to watch:

Derrick Henry (Ravens) - Playing against a stout Bills defense Sunday night, Henry had a great showing both times he faced this team last season. With the Ravens being contenders again because of Henry and Jackson's running attack, watch him break tackles and run people over as you are used to seeing.

Brain Robinson jr. ( 49'ers) - A new place for Robinson jr. since being traded about two weeks ago from the Commanders. He faces a Seahawks team dealing with a ton of turnover, and CMC being the feature back; Robinson should have some playing time in which he can make a statement.

Calvin Ridley (Titans) - With number one overall pick Cam Ward being the new starting QB in Tennessee, Ridley should be the biggest benefactor of consistent QB play. Since he is the main (and really only) star experienced player on offense, he will see a ton of targets. Especially since they will likely be playing from behind a decent amount.

Week one looks to be a great weekend for football with a ton of big games. Check back Tuesday for the recap of week one.
