One of the best stories in baseball this Summer has been the American Associations' ability to play games during a pandemic and to be able to do so with fans in the ballpark in Sioux Falls and elsewhere.

Another good story within the American Association was the hot start that the Sioux Falls Canaries got off to after having some down years over the last few seasons.

That hot start has cooled off as of late and it has Canaries fans wondering if Sioux Falls will fizzle out as the season goes down the stretch.

Even though Alay Lago has continued to hit well over .300 and tallying 59 hits along with a balanced attack of power with three players leading the team with seven home runs each, there needs to be more consistency.

The Canaries are now 19-19 and four games out of first place as they find themselves chasing the Saint Paul Saints, Milwaukee Milkmen, and the first place Winnipeg Goldeyes.

The struggles as of late haven't stopped the efforts of the front office who have brought in numerous players with MLB experience including the latest arm in Tyler Danish who played with the Chicago White Sox.

The hope is that the Canaries can rebound this week as they will take on Fargo for a three-game set beginning on Tuesday before they return home on Friday where they will host Fargo through the weekend.
