Dave Austad: Will Tiger Woods Ever Win Another Major?

Dave Austad of Austad's Golf joined Jeff Thurn on Monday's edition of Overtime.

Thurn asks Austad if Tiger Woods will get more majors than Jack Nicklaus?

"No. I think last weekend was a good indication of what is going to happen with Tiger. He's got to be seeing it right now. He shoots a 66 on Saturday, and is thinking, I'm back. I'm ready to roll, and comes out on Sunday in a group ahead of the leaders, and the leaders, there's this 23-year old guy, Patrick Reed, wearing a red shirt. I mean, and Tiger goes on to shoot five-over, and his back is killing him. There has to be with Tiger, and who knows he could turn it around, but who knows. He's an incredible athlete. If anybody could do it, it could be him, but it's been a long time. I was at Torrey Pines when he won his last major, at the U.S. Open in 2007, that was a long time ago (seven years) That was the overtime finish, when he had the Monday finish with Rocco Mediate to win that tournament, and he barely squeaked by. So, I do not think he will beat Jack. I definitely think he break Sam Snead's record. Needs one more win to get 80 victories, which is phenomenal. He's got to be sitting there today, what happened? Here, he got beat by a 23-year old kid, and the kid at the end of the round says he is one of the top five golfers in the country..."

Nicklaus has 18 majors, while Woods has 14.
