There isn't much minor league baseball going on right now in the United States but the baseball being played at the Sioux Falls Stadium has been pretty good.

The Sioux Falls Canaries continue to play some great baseball at the Birdcage all while leading the way in the American Association.

Their latest win came on Sunday afternoon as the Canaries defeated the St. Paul Saints 13-12 with a back and forth affair that saw all kinds of scoring.

Jabari Henry led the way offensively for the Canaries as he had two home runs on Sunday.

Sioux Falls is sharing their home ballpark all summer with the St. Paul Saints as there are only three home parks in the league and only 6 teams able to play because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Canaries get back to action this week as they try to hold onto that first place spot and will be playing in Sioux Falls until their next road trip begins after August 2.

This is the best start to the season in years for the Canaries and even though fans must social distance at the Birdcage, they continue to come out to support the team.

It really has been impressive to see the collaborative effort from the American Association and the Sioux Falls Canaries not only to help host the Saints but also to put on a good product in our hometown.
