For the first time ever, South Dakota is taking its tourism message North of the Border.

The State Department of Tourism has partnered with a Florida-based company, Global Marketing & Sales, to promote the state across Canada through the summer of 2024.

The campaign will revolve around a digital 'roadshow' which will consist of a series of interactive presentations, emphasizing South Dakota’s unique selling points to travel agencies and tour operators.

In a press release announcing the new partnership, South Dakota Tourism Secretary James Haugen said:

'This is the first time South Dakota has had dedicated Canadian representation, and we couldn’t be more excited,  We are primed and ready to welcome more of our neighbors from the north.'
