Off The Tee: Evaluating Tiger Woods’ Latest Comeback
It's almost become one of life's certainties, right alongside death and taxes.
A Tiger Woods comeback.
The latest, and to date most encouraging return to competitive golf for the former number-one player in the world came over the weekend (November 30 - December 3) at the 2017 Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.
It was there that we saw glimpses of the player who has won 14 major tournaments in his career, the last triumph coming nearly a decade ago.
Since then it's been a series of off-course distractions, re-tooled swings, nagging and serious injuries, and career-threatening surgeries that have reduced what many considered to be the best golfer of his generation to an object of morbid curiosity.

Booming drives.
Clutch putts.
And that old Tiger swagger.
His scorecard showed a respectable 69-68-75-69 for the tournament, with 17 birdies, 10 bogeys, two eagles, and a double bogey.
And while he only finished tied ninth in an 18-player field, there were still plenty of positives to build on heading into 2018.
