Off the Tee: Si Woo Kim Wins Players, Jordan Spieth Struggles, Rory McIlroy Hurt, Local U.S. Open Qualifying
There's another young star to watch on the PGA Tour.
21-year old Si Woo Kim put together four solid days in Florida to win the Players Championship, while some of the top players in the world carded some big numbers.
In this edition of 'Off The Tee', I talk with Joel Harrington, from 4 Deep Golf blog, about the South Korean's big day and why some of the game's best struggled so badly at TPC Sawgrass.
We also discuss:
- TPC Sawgrass made some significant course changes. How did they impact play?
- Jordan Spieth continues to struggle, missing the cut for the second time in his last four starts
- Rory McIlroy signs an equipment deal with TaylorMade, re-injures his ribs
- Monday's United States Open Local Qualifier at the Country Club of Sioux Falls Jon Trasamar of Blue Earth, Minnesota (67), Thomas Campbell of Minnetonka, Minnesota (70), and Bobby West of Watertown (71) grabbed the qualifying spots
Here's my conversation with Joel:
