Super Bowl Party Recipes: Hoggy’s Mac ‘N’ Cheese
Whether attending or hosting a Super Bowl party, no gathering is complete without great food. Hoggy's Mac 'N' Cheese is one of my personal favorites and a great side dish for any party.
Hoggy's Mac 'N' Cheese
1 1/2 cups of cottage cheese
1 1/2 cups of sour cream
2 eggs
24 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups of cooked elbow macaroni
2 cups of cooked penne noodles (or variety noodles)
Breadcrumbs (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients, excluding the breadcrumbs, together in a sizeable bowl. After mixing, disperse the bowl's contents into a 9x13 pan. Optional: sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of mac 'n' cheese before baking.
After the oven is heated, bake the mac 'n' cheese for 40 minutes. Bake until the top layer has a crisp, golden color. Let the pan sit for five to 10 minutes. You can serve from either the 9x13 pan or transfer into another container for serving.
Hoggy's Mac 'N' Cheese is a delicious dish from one of the top barbecue joints in Columbus, Ohio. It's been a staple in my family for over a decade and proves to be a hit with each party and gathering.
