Super Bowl Party Recipes: Italian Shredded Beef Buns
Whether attending or hosting a Super Bowl party, no gathering is complete without great food. Italian Shredded Beef Buns are an easy "main dish" to make and satisfy the hunger of your average partygoer.
Italian Shredded Beef Buns
1 4-pound tip roast/bottom crown roast (or any lean roast)
2 packages of dry Italian dressing mix
1 jar of mild pepper rings
Package(s) of hamburger/hoagie buns
Divide the raw roast into two pieces to start the process. Then place the two roast halves in a Crock-Pot. Mix two cups of water with the dressing mix and pour over the roast. Add the jar of pepper rings in the Crock-Pot, including the liquid.
Cook on low for at least eight hours or until the meat is "shreddable." Once the meat is tender, shred it apart with a fork.
Serve from the Crock-Pot onto the buns and enjoy.
Italian Shredded Beef Buns are easy to make and serve as a pleasant switch-up from your typical sandwich.
