Mike Miller is the best basketball player ever to come out of the state in South Dakota and before he made his name in the NBA, he had a memorable run to the Final Four.

The Mitchell South Dakota native helped the Florida Gators go all the way to the Final Four and the National Title game during his sophomore year.

That run wouldn't of been possible if it wasn't for the epic shot by Miller during the round of 64 against the Butler Bulldogs.

Florida would end up losing to Michigan State in a hard fought National Championship game, but that run helped vault Miller into national recognition and helped him land a spot in the NBA lottery later that year.

His life would never be the same and it is likely there will be another young man who has an amazing run in the NCAA Tournament that will help him become more known and probably help his NBA Draft stock as well.
