The Minnesota Vikings have lost a cornerback as free agent Trae Waynes has signed a three-year mega-deal with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Waynes has signed a three-year $42 million deal with the Bengals according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal includes $20 million in the first year.

Waynes will leave the Vikings following being drafted 11th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played in 74 games, 53 starts, for the Vikings and totaled 247 tackles, seven interceptions, two forced fumbles, and nine tackles-for-loss.

Cincinnati also made another defensive splash on Tuesday (March 17) with the signing of defensive tackle DJ Reader. Reader spent his prior four seasons in Houston.
