Is A New Hotel Coming to Harrisburg?

There isn't a week that goes by without someone I encounter commenting on the explosive growth of the Sioux Falls area. Included in that conversation are always the cities close to ours; Harrisburg, Tea, and Brandon.

Dakota News Now is reporting that what has already come to Brandon and Tea may soon be coming to Harrisburg. And that- - is a hotel.

Harrisburg's Economic Development Corporation recently had a feasibility study done to determine if their economy would support a new hotel and the resounding answer was, yes!

The study included interviews with residents, "lodging demand, and economic impact." The report even offered "recommendations for a site location, hotel size, and room volume and configuration."

So it might not be that far into the future that you'll be driving up or down I-29 and see signage for a brand new hotel in Harrisburg!
