If you're a resident of southwest Sioux Falls, you'll want to be aware of the latest street construction news, so this doesn't come as an annoying surprise on Monday.

Beginning on Monday, August 14, 2023, the outside northbound lane on South Marion Road will be closed on either side of West 41st Street. The outside westbound lane on West 41st Street will be closed just east of Marion Road.

The reason for the closures is that Xcel Energy is working on putting in new lines. The project should be done in about one month.

So you're urged to slow down, use extra caution, and/or consider an alternate route.
