After nearly 8,000 beverages were consumed and more than 2,500 votes cast, we have our winners in a month-long drink competition in Sioux Falls.

Downtown Sioux Falls crowned the trio of victors on Tuesday (April 7th) in the 9th Annual Mash Madness event.

The March event featured more than 30 entries from downtown bars and restaurants showcasing their creativity, innovation, and expertise in crafting unforgettable beverages.

In all, 7,668 beverages were sold during the competition:

  • 3,126 Craft Beers
  • 2,445 Craft Cocktails
  • 2,097 Non‑Alcoholic Drinks

This year’s Mash Madness logged 2,781 votes, a 15% increase from 2025, and brought an estimated $295,000 to Downtown Sioux Falls. It also generated over $70,000 in beverage sales.

CRAFT BEER: Altered Species - Courting Dance Hazy IPA

A smooth, juicy, lower alcohol IPA with tropical and citrus notes.

CRAFT COCKTAIL: Ironwood Steakhouse - Emerald Old Fashioned

Keeper’s Heart Virgin Oak Irish whiskey, finished in new charred oak barrels for vanilla, toasted caramel, and warm spice notes.

NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINK: Perch - Banana Pudding Matcha

A creamy blend of earthy matcha and ripe banana, offering depth with a gentle caffeine lift.
