South Dakota Has $4 Million Lottery Winner
A jackpot-winning Lotto America ticket has been sold in South Dakota for the first time ever.

It happened in Wednesday's (August 6) drawing when the winning ticket matched all five numbers and the Star Ball to claim an estimated jackpot of $4,010,000.
Where was the Ticket Sold?
The ticket was purchased at the Freedom Valu Center in Vermillion, making the state's first multi-state jackpot winner since 2018. The winning numbers were 26, 29, 30, 33, 40, and the Star Ball was 1.
Making History
This win is the first Lotto America jackpot to be hit in South Dakota since the game's current format was introduced in November 2017. As a reward for selling the winning ticket, the Freedom Valu Center will receive a $10,000 bonus from the South Dakota Lottery.
