Gibbs is the second former Alabama running back to appear in the NFL Top 100, with Josh Jacobs landing at No. 33 after his first season in Green Bay.

Gibbs, a first-round pick out of Alabama by the Detroit Lions in the 2023 NFL draft, averaged 5.6 yards per carry last season as the lightning in Detroit's thunder and lightning duo at running back. He rushed for 1,412 yards (fifth in the NFL) and 16 touchdowns (tied-first in the NFL). Gibbs is more than just a rushing threat, hauling in 52 receptions for 517 yards and four receiving touchdowns for the Lions.

While at Alabama, Gibbs showcased why Detroit would eventually draft him in the first round. In his lone season with the Crimson Tide in 2022, Gibbs rushed for 926 yards, averaging 6.1 yards per carry, and scored seven rushing touchdowns. As Bryce Young's safety net out of the backfield, Gibbs collected 44 receptions for 444 yards and three receiving touchdowns. Gibbs helped lead the Crimson Tide to a 10-2 record and helped Alabama weather the storm of Bryce Young's shoulder injury by breaking off two long touchdowns against Arkansas to cement a victory in Fayetteville that season.

Gibbs will look to build on an already promising NFL career as he enters year three in Detroit.
