NBA Playoffs: Nets, Lakers, Mavs Game-2 Winners
A triple-header on Tuesday for three teams in the NBA Playoffs find Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Dallas all picking up wins.
Brooklyn Nets 130, Boston Celtics 108 - Joe Harris tied a franchise playoff record with seven 3-pointers, Durant scored 26 points and the Nets routed the Boston Celtics 130-108 on Tuesday night for a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series.
Harris had a career playoff-high 25 points and Harden added 20 as the Nets unleashed their lethal offense after winning Game 1 largely with defense.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Brooklyn Nets forward Jeff Green both left due to injuries Tuesday night in Game 2 of the first-round NBA playoffs series between the two teams.
LA Lakers 109, Phoenix Suns 102 - With the Los Angeles Lakers' once 15-point lead whittled down to just one and 16,000 screaming fans sensing a 2-0 series lead for their Suns, LeBron James and Anthony Davis took over Game 2 on Tuesday.
"You never want to get too comfortable with these guys," said Davis, who finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks, making up for his subpar Game 1. "They can score the ball very quickly. And we can too.
James finished with 23 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals, putting the final punctuation point on the win with a 3-pointer with 49.8 seconds left to put L.A. up by nine.
Dallas Mavericks 127, LA Clippers 121 - After Tim Hardaway Jr. delivered a 3-point dagger for the Dallas Mavericks that took the air out of Staples Center, Luka Doncic waved to the road crowd asking to hear some noise before letting out a scream.
Doncic had 39 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, and Hardaway added 28 as the Mavs stunned the Clippers to take a 2-0 lead back to Dallas in this best-of-seven series.
The Clippers have lost five straight playoff games dating back to last postseason when they blew a 3-1 lead in epic fashion to the Denver Nuggets in the second round. Despite that, Paul George said the Clippers aren't panicking.
