NBA Semifinals: Tied in the East, Tied in the West
In the final 15 seconds of play with the Philadelphia 76ers down a point, Joel Embiid could not convert on a drive to the basket. That put the visitors in a foul situation that led the Atlanta Hawks to the line for two. Trey Young nails both at the line and the 76ers attempt to tie on a three-point shot that fails. Hawks win 103-100.
Atlanta and Philadelphia are now tied in the NBA Eastern Conference series at two games.
Embiid looked ahead to Wednesday's contest in Philadelphia, with the series now down to a best-of-three scenario.
"That was a blown opportunity. But it happened," he said. "Can't change it. Got to move on to Game 5."
Trey Young for the Hawks had the hot hand in Monday's win with 25 points.
Over in the Western Conference the LA Clippers duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George each scored 31 in Monday's 118-104 win over the Utah Jazz.
In a game that Los Angeles dominated all night, Leonard provided the highlight with his dunk late in the first half.
Donovan Mitchell led Utah with 37 points, making him the first player since Golden State's Stephen Curry in 2019 to have six straight 30-point games in the playoffs.
Game 5 is Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.
